![]() Maarten VeezeAmsterdam, NetherlandsMaarten joined Violinist.com on Dec 27, 2006 Maarten Veeze was twice a prize winner in the Dutch National Violin Competition "Oskar Back". As a pupil of Herman Krebbers in Amsterdam, he won the Prix d'Excellence. Mr. Veeze teaches violin at the Conservatories of Maastricht (www.conservatoriummaastricht.nl) and Amsterdam, as well as violin pedagogy. Mr. Veeze is an experienced chamber musician, having been a member of the Gemini Ensemble for over 25 years. He is a highly sought after chamber music coach and frequently serves on competition juries. He gives master classes in the Netherlands and internationally, including Italy, Poland and the United States. Mr. Veeze serves as concertmaster for the Bach Orchestra of the Westerkerk in Amsterdam. Maarten Veeze, a member of the editorial board, writes articles regularly for ARCO, the magazine of the European String Teachers' Association.
