Melissa Reiner

I am a professional violinist who is equally comfortable in the arenas of both classical and non-classical performance, whether onstage or in the studio. A graduate of the Peabody Conservatory, I live in Los Angeles but have performed and toured internationally since the age of 14, including halls in Tokyo, London, Frankfurt, Moscow, Taipei and Milan. In Los Angeles alone, I have performed at the Grammy Awards, on The Tonight Show, on MTV and at Disney Hall. Some highlights of the last year include: touring and premiering a Violin Concerto for renowned Bollywood composer A.R. Rahman; writing string arrangements & touring & performing on tv with Columbia Records artist Joshua Radin; and playing on numerous albums/movies, including Christina Aguilera's album and the film "Rocky Balboa". I am currently writing songs and arranging strings for several different artists, including my latest project, The Northstar Session.
