My teacher was the late Edward Seferian, a Julliard Masters grad who studied under Galamian, Persinger, and Gingold. You can learn more about Mr. Seferian here: http://www.ups.edu/x2646.xml . Beginning at 15, I performed with the UPS/Tacoma Symphony for four years with internationally ranked soloists such as Marni Nixon and Leonard Rose. I furthered my study of music at Washington State University on scholarship as a Music Major. I worked as a freelance professional violinist in the CA bay area for fifteen years: individually, as an orchestra musician, in a duo with harpist as "Elegance", and with pianists and guitarists. I played in the stage orchestra with Ben Vereen and performed for visiting French educators at Santa Clara University. I performed as a chamber musician with the Telemann Society and in various chamber ensembles. I have extensive experience as a church musician. My emphasis as a violin instructor for 30+ years has been to introduce young people to the joy of violin playing while equipping them to meet a high technical standard. I assist my students in achieving excellence in intonation, tone, and musicality. As a performer, I play classical, popular, liturgical and ethnic music for all events with any accompaniment. I am currently performing in a new Celtic band "Carrowmore" in the Seattle area. Call 253-851-6248 for details, demo and prices.
