i have had students since i was sixteen. I am experienced teaching violin and fiddle styles to children and adults. i have experienced a range of teachers myself and have strong ideas about proper techniques to improve COMFORT, musicality and dexterity. i teach jazz, celtic, bluegrass, improvisation and the art of rhythm violin. I have been playing since the age of 3, and performing as a classical violinist and violist since the age of 7, and as a jazz, bluegrass, and celtic fiddler since the age of 19. I consider myself an especially accomplished improviser, but I also enjoy performing classical chamber music and solo violin works. I am a composer and perform my compositions as well. I tour the country regularly with the groups Taarka and ThaMuseMeant. I was a teacher of eastern european violin at the Mark O'Connor Strings Conference in San Diego in the summer of 2006.
I just moved to Colorado and am currently teaching and performing there.
