 Carlo MauricioInterlochen, MichiganViolinist.com blog: http://www.violinist.com/blog/anothermusician25 Carlo joined Violinist.com on Mar 20, 2008 I began studying the violin in Los Angeles at age 11. At age 13 I moved to my current home in Houston around which time I slowly became a serious musician. I was a violinist with the Houston Youth Symphony and briefly served as assistant concertmaster of the Virtuosi of Houston Chamber Orchestra. I would progress to continue my studies at the Interlochen Arts Academy, where I am presently a senior. My past teachers have included Heather Crawford, Denise Tarrant of the Houston Grand Opera, Eric Halen of the Houston Symphony, as well as brother David Halen, concertmaster of the St. Louis Symphony and the Aspen Music Festival under David Zinman.
