Ernst Heinrich RothAugust 25, 2012 at 8:05 PM I noticed a recent blog about an Ernst Heinrich Roth violin. They were wondering about price ranges for the Roth violins. I have recently purchased an "Ernst Heinrich Roth violin 1952. Reproduction of Antonius Stradivarius, Cremona, 1772". After purchasing I looked up the violin maker. What I read said that he died in 1951, I believe. I'm wondering if someone finished the violin for him, or was this just the year that it was sold? I paid 5,800 for the violin. I really do love the way it sounds. |
