Zeroing in on just the right Student Violin and Viola...

June 29, 2009 13:02

I am in serious need of some Group advice.  For a new student like myself, there are just too many choices.  After a while, the advantages/disadvantages of various Makers, becomes very confusing.  I want an instrument that will last, will sound good, will be (student) playable, and looks good too!

I've narrowed the field to a few brands that catch my eye, my ear, and my interest.

What are your thoughts and comparison on the sound, and the construction quality of the following (student grade) violins and violas?  As a reference point, we're talking in the $300-$400 range.
