Violin/Flute and Guitar Duet

January 11, 2008 at 8:16 AM

I want to get my mandolin strings adjusted really bad. The strings are too high and it's pretty hard to play. That's the mandolin that I learned on but now that I've tried a mandolin easier than mine, I need mine easier now. But I'm not sure how much it'll cost. I hope it's not too much. I don't have that much money.

The flute is coming along goreously. (Is that spelled correctly) Anyways I love playing the flute.

I got to play a duet with my friend, who plays really good guitar. I'm going to post it on here so it'll be under my music please listen to it and post a comment.

Thanks. I want a grand piano, if you would like to donate please e-mail me. Only joking, kind of.

Most mandolins have an adjustable bridge and players make the adjustment themselves. It usually looks like a little wheel on each end of the bridge. If you can find a spec somewhere, use it. It will probably be the distance from the top of one of the frets to the bottom of the G and E strings. If you can't find that, then lower it until it buzzes then come back up until you can live with it.

This one does but when I spin them it does nothing. GRRRR!

Figure out why it's doing nothing and fix it. When you put it back on, the right place is where the octave harmonic and the 12th fret give you the same pitch.
