![]() RecorderOctober 31, 2006 at 5:04 PM I have just decided to start playing recorder again. I found it lying around my house and have picked it up and I love. This is the instrument that started it all. I started it in fourth grade. I haven't had much practice though. If anyone knows of any good book that I can buy or borrow from the library, please let me know.I want a grand piano, if you would like to contribute please e-mail me. Ha ha. Just joking, kind of.

Do you play English aka "Baroque" fingering, or the simplified "German" system?

I will second the recommendation for Courtly Music. They're run by a couple named Richie and Elaine Henzler. Richie used to run the recorder section of a store in New York named Terminal Music; when the store closed, he moved upstate.Posted on November 1, 2006 at 3:41 PM If you're looking for a general teaching book, I suggest "The Recorder Book" by Kenneth Wollitz. If you're looking for interesting music to play, check out oriellibrary.com; they have a substantial selection of excellent recorder music in three or more parts at reasonable prices.
