Here are some pictures of my new violin (with the knilling perfection pegs). Any comments or thoughts would be welcome.


I'm enjoying playing it a great deal, but am trying to learn a bit about visually identifying violins such as the scroll look etc...

It's from Violins Etc... In Austin. It's a Max Schaeffer model, Romanian Workshop Violin that they get in the White and then finish themselves.

Jason, it happens with your ears. You could find it with your eyes closed, even. Your wonderful teacher can show you how.

When I started learning the violin, my teacher asked if I'd like to use some tapes on the figerboard to help with intonation. I said, "NO! I'll learning with my ears, not my eyes."

Yeah, take off the tapes :-)
