Gustav Carl Helsted (1837-1924), lived in Denmark
Violin concerto no.2 opus 27 (1909)
Movement 1 : Allegro con fuoco
Movement 2 : Andante con moto
Movement 3 : Allegro molto vivace

thanks Bram as always bringing to our attention unknown violin concertos. to be honest I find these two concertos you give us here sound rather artificial, awkward. to be equally honest I only listened in through the first two pages of the first parts of each.

Ok, unknown music is not always good and perhaps 2nd rank. But now you can compare it with other more well known violin concerto's.
