Carl Reinecke harpconcerto

June 25, 2008 at 6:33 AM

We played with an amateurorchestra the harpconcerto of Reinecke. I could hardly play with my frozen shoulder, but they let me play back in the back. With Youtube everybody has the oppurtunity to hear and judge (there must be better orchestra's in the world) this unknown piece of Carl Reinecke:

Part1 (it was longer than 10 mintes, so I cut it in to parts)Carl Reinecke harpconcerto. After 7.50 minutes a brassplayer let fall his sordine

Part1 the rest+ part2 Carl Reinecke harpconcerto

Part3 Carl Reinecke harpconcerto

Wow, that's a really neat piece! What a great soloist, too.

That's great, Bram! I think I saw you close-up a few times. The camera must like you!

Reinecke wrote some great music! His concerto in D major for flute makes a great violin concerto in my opinion.

What a lovely piece to listen to and watch. Thanks for posting the videos. Wonderful venue for playing. It is always nice to see children in the audience.
