10 days of rehearsals + 5 days of concerts +7 minutes Henri VieuxtempsPublished: Apr. 24, 2007 at 11:05 AMLast modified: Apr. 24, 2007 at 11:22 AM
From monday 14 april till 24 april I had every day an orchestral rehearsal (combined with a normal 9-5 job). From 25 april till 29 april 5 days of concerts. Last weekend I had 2 rehaersal weekends of 2 orchestra's (14 and 15 april was also rehaersal weekend). So I missed 1 rehearsalweekend. The other weekend was from a good and serious and high level orchestra. I asked whether I could leave at 14.30, because a former Glazunovsoloist Helbertine ![]() would play some of my favorite composer Henri Vieuxtemps, during 7 minutes (I gave her the music). But the committee was severe. I was not allowed to hear that, otherwise I was not allowed to play the concerts. But the conductor stopped not at 17.00 hour but at 16.00 hour, so I drove fast to the middaychamberconcert of Helbertine about 1 hour and entered the little synagogue just after the break. And she played with a pianist my favorite composer ![]() Here again some photo's I made earlier when I was in the birthplace of Henri Vieuxtemps in Verviers, Belgium, Europe ![]() 2 glasses of Vieuxtemps beer ![]() 2 pigeons on the statue ![]() 1 strange man has put 2 Vieux Tempsbeer bottles on the statue ![]() Henri Vieuxtemps leaning on a desk with his violin ![]() map of Verviers in Belgium, Europe, where I was for those photo's, with places of the grave, the statue and the Rue Henri Vieuxtemps
