HERE MUCH MORE PHOTO'S, 63OF HOARFROST AND SKATING on nature-ice:  Most skating ovals in the world are 400 meter or shorter, but since 2 weeks we have in Holland a skating oval of 5000 meter, 5 KM!!!, because we miss strong winters the last years, because of climat changes. It is called FLEVONICE . FLEVO IN ICE (English internet influence). Flevoland is a part of the Netherlands below sea level and they pump the water over a dike. Here some picture of this artificial-ice oval of 5km in FLEVONICE and my body-protection, because you can fall hard on the ice and skates are sharp as knives and I also want to play violin without injuries:  A lot of bodyprotectors for head, shoulders(from ice-hockey), elbows, knee's, hips and underback (black rubber piece in my black dress),cut-proof socks and underleg-protectors against other skates hitting my legs.  safety first  The result of all the protection  The track photografhed from a plane. Last saturday 22-12-07 all trees were covered with hoarfrost. But now temperatures are above 0 Celsius, so we keep on dreaming of a white Christmas. I am so happy. After I got the 1th celloconcerto of Henri Vieuxtemps on the desk of an amateurorchestra, I found out that the music library of the FASO (Federation of Amateur Strind and Symphony Orchestra's)had lent the 5th violinconcerto of VIEUXTEMPS to an amateurorchestra in The Netherlands. I sent an email to that library and found out that Van Wassenaer Ensemble in my neighboorhood would play that 5 th violinconcerto of HENRI VIEUXTEMPS with YVONNE SMEULERS. So after some attempts to get this piece (or one of the other 7 violinconcerto's of Vieuxtemps) played, which all failed, here was a chance. It was no problem to play with this orchestra and I even did not need to do audition. During the first rehearsal with the soloist YVONNE SMEULERS her friend (who plays professional piano) SANDER SITTIG, who know my weblog, because the works with more violionists. He always was surprised how I got all those different pictures. (quite easy: by googling images of names). I gave her a Vieux Temps beer. She must laugh about it, but said she did not drink alcohol (serious girl)  In the coffee-break after the concert, I gave her the other concerts of VIEUXTEMPS, which she don't know and a Vieuxtemps-glass, which look like it was filled with beer, but it was candlewax, so she can burn this Vieuxtemps-candle, while learning more about the composer Vieuxtemps. Of course during and after the concert I wear my VIEUXTEMPS T-shirt. The conductor said to me, while I was giving presents to YVONNE SMEULERS : have you said that YVONNE SMEULERS played the 5th VIEUXTEMPS very good, but (silly me) I forget to say that. So I admitted the remark of the conductor. Later I heard the concert several times in my car, because I made a bad quality recording on cassette, so I still can listen to the concert again and YVONNE SMEULERS made no mistakes. But we will play 2 more times with her again after 2 weeks!!  SANDER SITTIG and YVONNE SMEULERS (on the right is a violinfriend of another amateurorchestra who liked the playing of YVONNE SMEULERS very much and was happy that I invited him for this concert so he could hear it on stage instead of on cd. He listened to it from a few meters form the soloist) I, on the left, bought the new cd of SANDER SITTIG and YVONNE SMEULERS with Czech music and they wrote their autograph on it. On the website of YVONNE SMEULERS you can hear a fragment of this cd.  Another violinfriend took this picture. SANDER SITTIG took a lot of photo's for my weblog:   I have a red wine in my right hand and her present: the VIEUXTEMPScandle-glass in my left hand
