What really annoys me recently are publicity photos of violinists, many of them brilliant and famous artists, who are holding their instrument in the most unlikely positions. Over their shoulder? Playing peek a boo from behind it? and other ridiculously cloying poses. Really bugs me, somehow.... Remember those old b&w photos of concert artists playing in the 11th position on the G string? So serious!.. Yeeesh!
