Erhu, can be literally translated as a foreign (‘hu’) two strings (‘Er’) instrument that believed to be introduced to China from Central Asia more than 1,000 years ago. It’s commonly considered to be a Chinese violin but it is between a Jinghu (higher pitched) and Zhonghu (lower pitched) and a number of other similar instruments. There were a lot heated debates at v.com regarding the Erhu and the western music played by it. You might want to do a search if you are curious about what it.

I'm just amazed by the range of expression on the Erhu . . . its so captivating. Gives me some ideas for violin, haha . . .
And very nice job with the Enesco video! I liked it.
