I looked up this old song (1958) on youtube. It always sounded like a classical-style arrangement to me. Now I noticed the instrumentation is harpsichord and bass! Their NY accents are funny, like callers on the Howard Stern show.

Good thing they wrote out the lyrics, or I would've gone around singing, "'Cause what's suffocation without romance?" :)

I can't figure out where they even thought of or found a harpsichord in 1958. Interesting. They were big briefly ten years later, though. Became very chic in a Revolutionary War era / Addams Family sort of way.
