The girl in the last video is Xuefei Yang (her personal web page at http://www.xuefeiyang.com/xuefei.html). She is giving a concert with the HK Phil in early Feb 2008. Her CDs are also readily obtainable here in Hong Kong.

Wow, had no idea the sax could do all that. Thanks for sharing this - it is a great display of creative virtuoso sax playing. I especially liked the simulated pizzicatos and the 'double stops'. How'd he do that??!

I like the guitarist the best. I searched on youtube and found quite a few guitarists playing the piece. I think the caprice probably translates well to the guitar because Paganini also wrote music for guitar. I found a recording of Yo-Yo Ma playing it on the cello, and, of course, it was great. The worst ones were heavy metal rock, electric guitar, and accordion.

I agree with Pauline that the guitar (and perhaps the cello) sounds quite natural with this piece...but I liked the sax rendition precisely because it was so unexpected.
