Beautiful photo, Emily. What is the plant with the red leaves?

Fireweed. The blossoms are fuschia, and the leaves turn scarlet in the fall. The mountainsides catch ablaze with their color right about now.

I've seen fireweed with bright pink blossoms, but I never noticed red leaves. Maybe I saw a different kind of fireweed, or maybe the climate is responsible for the difference. Anyway, your photo is gorgeous. There are no signs of fall around here yet. It's still summer, hot and humid.
