Wow , I have your cd of 2th Joachim. If I can get a ticket I think I can visit your concert in Germany, Goettingen from the Netherlands. 450 km, 4 hours drive with the car. Fridaymidday free must be enough time. This winter also Christian Tetzlaff will play this 2th Joachim in Rotterdam in my neighboorhood. It is unreal that I can hear such a rarity twice in my life. First I thought I would never get this chance. When I have more time I will read your whole blog about Joachim.

>I will be traveling to Ghana today! While there, I will be performing with the National Symphony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ghana’s independence, performing for the President, meeting with the Minister of Education to discuss a new government-sponsored string program, working with Black African youth from Ghana and Nigeria who are studying string instruments, and meeting players of the West African fiddle, an instrument held on the arm and bowed like a violin.

WOW!! How very exciting - please do post pics and share stories after THIS. I lived in Central Africa for two years, so it will be doubly exciting to read your impressions and hear their reactions to your playing. Hope it was a great trip.
