Laurie, I like your purple trees, but I think I'd like your performances of Paganini even better. Aw, thanks for the flowers!

I've never seen Jacaranda trees in bloom-- beautiful! We see Jacaranda trees in bloom every year. There's an Australian Christmas carol which has the line "When the bloom of the Jacaranda Tree is here, Christmas Time is near." And then the road turns a lovely purple colour when the flowers drop onto the road.

Also, I don't know whether Laurie knew, but Violinist.com blogs has been placed number 10 in Musical Perceptions Top 52 Classical Music Blogs. I think that's a great achievement, and is worthy of a mention, and a congratulatory drink for everyone who writes in their blogs. I'm gonna go grab me an Irish Whiskey right now.

Oh, You got me excited about the Paganini performances.

But the flowers are nice too.. Here we have lilacs in bloom, we have 2 bushes in our backyard and as soon as you walk out the door you get impaled by the aroma of them.

I was thinking about posting some of my next studio recital. Luckily, I have several teenage students that can do this for me! I'll see how things go...

Whenever I am feeling blue, I like to fire up my youtube 1973 Belmont Stakes, won by Secretariat. He always cheers me up.
