You've GOT to go, Eileen! I see the program's still pending, but no matter what, you will be dazzled and inspired beyond belief. And you generally don't have to resort to connections to meet him; he likes to greet his audience at CD signings after his performances. It doesn't matter if you're a novice or even if you play violin at all---he's so sweet to everyone, no matter if you're 3 or 90.

That inspires me to give my neighbor a call Karin...haha....perhaps I will make the effort..if only for my son...who may one day have reason to brag on the meeting. "It was that time my mom took me to hear Joshua Bell...and I got to meet him after the performance...."
Haha...one can only hope !

I would definately go and bring your son! I brought my youngest son to see Hilary Hahn when he was six and he still talks about the experience. He also didn't complain about practicing for about a month afterwards (that ALONE was worth the price of the ticket)!

Oh...I will definitely be going !! As soon as I get my 2007 calendar it's going on it in big bold "NOT to be messed with" letters ! My son will be going along too. I showed him a clip someone had posted here...I don't know what the fella was playing but he was pizzicattoing to beat the band and my son was just mesmerized. I know we'll both enjoy it.
