Funny I just did a rough count of how many times I have practiced the fast arpeggios in the opening of Souvenir de Sarate (Spannish Fantasie) in the past year (one of my exam pieces).
Everyday, at least 5 times slowly. This bit repeats 10 times in the piece, and I played at least twice a day. I practice this at least 5 days in a week. It's been almost 12 months since I started practising.
No. of times I've played this: (5 times x 5 days x 12 months) + (10 repeats x 2 times a day, x 5 days x 12 months) = 300 times + 1200 times = 1500 times.
Gosh, did I really play that many times? No wonder I am sick of it right after the exam! I dare not count the number of times I've practiced my scales!
