Hey, can you design me a bookcase? I have two pieces of cherry lumber 19"x59"x3/4" and one piece a little smaller. I have a jig saw, an electic drill, and a belt sander.

How big are your books?

Wait, is this a trick question?

Maybe Matt's a better person to ask. Or I could ask him for you.

Who is Matt and what are his credentials? I just know that if I do it myself it'll turn out carpenter gothic. Maybe I should look up plans for excellent bookcases that have been designed already. That's how I'd get Frank Lloyd Wright to design my house for free. Biggest book is approx the size of International editon of something. Should probably be able to hold some of that.

Well, Matt is currently designing my own shelves. They look pretty good on paper. He's a cabinet maker.

Right now, all my books are in boxes, where they've remained for the past three years. The irony of your comment was humorous. (Does that officially qualify as ironic? hmm)
