It's another Honda civic. It's black and shiny.
I was itching for a road trip, that's what. I'm sure to run into some sunshine somewhere out there.

ooooooo... shiny... that would have sold me ;)

Sunshine? Shouldn't have made that left turn. Next time go straight and hit CA. But while you're at it, send some clouds this way. What I'd give for an overcast afternoon... : (

Yeah, Terez, I wish I could share some of this rain. It's incredible.
I arrive by plane Tuesday morning and will begin the drive as soon as I get my car. It's 3556 miles from there to here. Trying to talk my mom into meeting me for the drive up. It's an awesome trip, so long as it's before snow sets in.

Emily, aren't there any shiny black Hondas in Alaska? How about Seattle? Why don't you just start driving until you encounter some sunshine and then trade your car in?
From Emily Grossman Posted from 66.230.100.161 on August 20, 2006 at 6:29 AM (GMT)
I found one for $3K cheaper there. But that's besides the point. The point is the Al-Can highway, the miles and miles of nothing, the mountains and maple donuts of Canada calling me...
Oh, and did I mention my father-in-law arrives on the flight just preceding my departure? ;)

Emily,
You can thank my husband for the sunshine. He fixed our gutters!
Drive safe!

(You probably could find a cheaper way of avoiding your father-in-law, but maybe that's just me!) ;)
