I reckon it's a bloke who drinks a lot and plays loud music all the time. I live next door to him I think.

Can you be more definitive, Neil? hehe

Oh grrreattt, now I've got to get a piece of paper and a pencil.

(and in keeping with the theme of my first post...)

Oh grrreattt, now I've got to get a piece ... oh heck, you get the idea. :)

I leave early tomorrow morning for a few days. I expect your answer by the time I return on Monday evening, Neil.

Hint: None of the composers have doubles of anything except for the person who has two dalmations. ;)

Okay, it's obviously Brahms - he's a noisy bloke and prickly as well.

Neil

PS, all without paper as I decided I prefer the guess method. :P

And what if I tell you that you are wrong?

Hmmm, I'll sulk. Although at least I now know Brahms likes spotted doggies.

Neil

... still reckon he'd have a hedgehog if his mum'd let him...

The test is invalid. Brahms does not drive a red Jetta.

I think Bizet lives in the yellow house, drives a Karmann Ghia, has two dalmations and drinks white wine; Chopin lives in the blue house, drives a Honda Prelude, has a cat and drinks Cognac; Elgar lives in the white house, drives a blue Jag, rears birds and drinks tea; Brahms lives in the green house, drives a red Jetta, has a hedgehog and drinks coffee; and Paganini lives in the red house, drives a Ferrari, has a horse and drinks red wine. So I came to the same conclusion as Neil, but I got to obsess about it. Spending time trying to solve this puzzle instead of practising...it’s no wonder I can’t play the violin.

Of course, Elgar would be a tea sipper and Pag would prefer red wine and Ferraris. And I had a hunch about Chopin and Cognac. But... Chopin and Hondas?

*ding ding ding* Congratulations Jennifer! You actually did the puzzle like myself and you have done it correctly. Bravo!

Neil, I guess we can still sort of say you won also but I mean anyone can say Brahms where as Jennifer used her brain and figured it out.

Heyyyyy, I used my brain ... I just used the guessing part of it rather than the knuckling down and actually working something out part. :)

Congratulations Jennifer.

PS. One of these days I'll guess right.

Congratulations Jennifer,

I worked on the problem last night after a long grueling day at work and narrowed the search down quite a bit.I simply could not figure out the final solution.

I resolved to get back to it this morning when my mind was fresh. Unfortunately I have have, regretably, not been able to figure solution.

Now I need to get back to work here at my job. I still resolve to work out the solution but alas for now I concede defeat.

This type of problem is part and parcel of both the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) as well as the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). I suppose I should be thankful I took both exams many years ago when my mind was more facile. Oh Well.

Again congratulations Jennifer and Kelsey
