Im sure you couldn't have been bad.. I don't like the key of Bflat either. But it is a lot easier then Dflat major in 5th position (one of my resent orchestra expereinces.... what a nightmare that was:)
*Violins Make the World go Round* Thanks Richard....lol...it's ok because I asked my daughter what she thought ..and she said they could hardly hear me at all because the piano was too loud. I immediately felt better after she said that ! haha ! Maybe, I could just play up there like that so no one actually can hear what I'm playing....and then once I get over the 'fear factor' they can mike me or something....lol !

I'm not even up to 5th yet...working on 3rd and 2nd. I have been up to 5th on the E string for a couple of pieces though. I have a heck of a time working the higher positions on the D and G string...it's actually PAINFUL !

Aw, Eileen, I sympathize...I think we're all familiar with the feelings of embarrassment and frustration after a less-than-perfect performance. Rest assured that it happens to everyone, and thank goodness for loud pianos. :) To steal a line from Clare Chu---keep your chin up and over a violin! Hang in there, girl! (Have you tried the new strings yet?) Thanks Karin...I've gotten over my little pity party...lol. I Just spent the last 3 hours practicing the tunes my fiddle group will be playing on Sat. (plus working through my lessons) There will be plenty of us at this gig, so no worries about nerves there...lol.

I haven't tried the strings yet...I want to wait until after this Sat. event because I don't know what they will do. If for some reason I don't like them the strings I have on now may not play the same for me and I'll miss my chance to be awesome on Sat....(GAFFAW!)
