I heard a mariachi band from somewhere in southern California. The band was selected by some very knowledgeable music scouts to come to Washington DC to perform at the Smithsonian. They were great. My favorite musician in the band was a 12 year old violinist. He did some things that I'd be happy if I could do. I spoke to him, and he told me that his teacher was his father, another member of the band.
