Meyer isn't such an obscure person, at least not in the U.S., because of the good popular musicans he's associated with here. I think it's a brilliant move.

No, Meyer isn't obscure, nor is Elgar. I think Bram was referring to their violin concerti, which are comparatively less well-known than the Bruch, Mendelssohn, etc.

What I meant to say was I think many will be interested in Meyer who wouldn't be interested in Brahms so it might not be so "daring." Maybe even bluegrass fans.
