Stop, Natasha, you're hurting yourself! I'm not motivated today, either. If I practice every day, I get momentum going, but I've been off for a couple of days with bow problems and now I'm having trouble getting back into the saddle and galloping off to a good practice session. We need a Reluctant Practicers Anonymous here to give each other a pep talk when we're low on energy. Playing violin is extremely energy intensive. So...Here's my pep talk for you: Remember what is feels like to be surrounded by a cloud of beautiful symphonic music and knowing you are part of making that sound happen. Orchestra playing is such a wonderful process and is the ultimate team experience. Sharp elbows and all, it's great to play with other musicians when everything goes right and the piece just sings. Now, go practice!!!

I have had the same feeling today, I couldnt be bothered to practice. I forced myself, and played something that I havent played in ages. I played Czardas, and was amazed at how easy it felt. A sure sign that progress has been made! Now get off your computer and practice something fun!!!

Peggy, click [edit], and it will give you an option to get rid of your comment, I think.
Natasha, relax. Don't kill yourself, and we won't either. I've been feeling like that, too. I agree with all of the comments up there one hundred percent. You can do it, you are motivated...just not today. ReLAX!

Hey Knot! When I got back from vaca I'd be like 'I'll do more tomorrow.' I regret it now because I have no time to practice! Just imagine your opponents practicing their butts off!
