Hey, sounds like it's going pretty well for you! I LOVE Csardas, I was going to perform it, but my mom said that I should play a different piece. My relatives are violin novices, so I guess that was a good idea.

LOL...you have the same problem I have. I played at our family reunion on Saturday. I'm 54 and I've been studying classical for 2.5 years. I deliberately set out to learn some fiddle tunes, knowing my crowd. They were extremely impressed with the fiddle tunes, but after Offenbach's Barcarolle, someone shouted, "Do Flop Eared Mule!". I feel your pain.

Oh good...it's nice to know I'm not the only one...but some of my relatives didn't even know what a violin WAS...NO JOKE HERE! I said "Oh, I gotta practice", and my second cousin was like "Violin? Is that *violin like motion* this thing?"
My jaw dropped and I said "Hello?! That is my LIFE!"
