I love the bernstein serenade. Ever since I heard the francescatti's recording I fell in love with the piece.

It is a wonderful piece, the kind you wouldn't get tired of listening to. I actually don't have a recording of it; after this week it's going to be up there on my Christmas list!

I think Hillary Hahn recorded it too but I would get the Francescatti with Bernstein conducting.
Francescatti had such a wonderful tone on that record! I dont think I have ever heard a tone like that.
I read somewhere that Salvatore Accardo has Francescatti's violin now the "heart" strad...
