Is Tchaikovski's concerto really the most difficult piece to perform for a seasoned violinist ? Auer refused to play it in the composer's times and Tchaikovski changed the dedication. What are the most difficult part in the score ? What is the broken cords passage ? Why are they challenging ? It all sound so easy on hearing virtuosos.
