One year later.....

June 12, 2007 14:13

Well today was the last full day of school, tomorrow there is a half day and then 4 regents. One in Global, Math B, French, and Bio. YAY!! I am almost a Junior! I have been having really extensive math review classes. Monday and Tuesday after school. Tomorrow from 1-3pm and Thursday from 8am -10 am. And then the last two days I have had it from 9-10:30 pm!

It has been over a year, over a year since I joined (and first blogged on v.com).

I am still looking for a Job, but I figure it is inevidable. Because I am automatically busy on Monday and tuesdays nights, Next year if I join the Nazareth college symphony like I was thinking about wednesdays would be out of the question. And most saturdays over the summer are an automatic no. But lately I have been soooo busy, practically every night. So far this month I have had 7 performances. This summer I got into Drivers Ed (only half the people got in) so I am busy every weekday but Friday...

My New Years Resolution Realized?

This year my New Years Resolution was to practice more. Though that hasn't yet happened. But I read on a college website to be a performance major you must practice a min. of 20 hours a week. So one week this summer (when I am not so busy) I plan on trying to practice that much in a week. I'll make sure to post my progress.

First Place!

June 1, 2007 20:08

Today I got to miss school to go to a band compeition. WE GOT FIRST PLACE. We won with about 8 clarinets, 7 flutes, 3 french horns, 5 alto sax, 2 tenors, a bari, one bassoon, 2 bass clarinets, 5 trumpets and one tuba and one baritone. It may sound like a lot but we had no trombones. All the other schools were about 3-5x bigger than us.

Tomorrow I have another competition. And then Sunday I get to find out if the orchestra won for The Stars of Tomorrow

I would type more, but it is 11pm and I just got home... and I have to be to school at 7am!
