Tight Quarters.

Yearly, I am required to play for my High school band at one basketball game. Where the school has reserved no spot for us, and there is no room. Well this year was no exception. The trumpets decided that for some reason, with there ~15" long instruments that they needed to take up 2 rows of bleachers. Leaving me, with a full size tuba (for those of you who aren't familiar with tuba sizes, that is about 3.5' tall, 2' wide and about 20" deep. With a 20" bell) with one row; me, then my tuba and the stand directally in front of me. You can imagine the fun I had!

On lighter news, My case finally came! I paid a lot less than I was expecting for it, but it was a defect case. I mean it is good, but I got a factory defect type case, and the only things I see wrong with it is that the velvet is put on running the wrong way on one of the pockets inside, one of the seems on the outside is sewn crooked (barely noticable) and a piece of velvet (where the violin lays anyway) has a minor scratch, that tore of the rising velvet fibers.

My annual "concert to the little kids" is on the 31st! I love this concert, our band goes over to the elementary school and encourages the little kids to play our instrument. Last year though, no one chose tuba, probably because I was told I needed to play a solo literetally 3 minutes before we started. But this year I have a solid solo lined up that sounds great. Hopefully at least one will sign up for tuba!

-I'm just glad I got that Logarithims exam over with!
