This is a 1990 recital/lecture Fodor gave at a university in Hawaii. The Paganini Moses is especially mind blowing at 29:00 in. Lots of great stuff, I hope you like it!

Fodor discusses the history of the instrument (4:48)
Brahms/Kreisler Hungarian Dance No. 17 (9:44)

Tchaikovsky Serenade Melancolique (19:47)

As much as I admired this artist's technique (and yes most of it was wonderful to watch), my only criticism comes mainly from the Moses in that for me, his vibrato was a tadd too wide and fast in places. Having said that, it was a splendid video displaying a spectacular technique (especially the Paganini) coming from a spectacular musician.

It is a shame his life was short.

Thank you so much for posting this video. I'm still devastated by Eugene's death and feel great sadness for the sorrows both he and his family had to live through. He was a great violinist and a wonderful person. I will always have tremendous admiration for him.

Very enjoyable playing from a tremendous violinist. I also enjoyed the interview questions that he answered afterwards. Thanks for sharing!
