![]() of three I singAugust 8, 2008 at 12:07 AM School has started. I am strictly doing elementary strings and elementary music this year:). My strings students start up next week, so today I had to start auditioning kids for chorus. Not really being a pianist, I learned the easiest possible arrangement of "America" to use as the main try-out song. Enough of them sang "of three I sing" that I checked the song sheet to make sure I did not have a typo. I now know that my own 5 and 6 yr old are really good singers and that I can in fact play the piano better than the average 4th grader can sing. From Pauline Lerner
When I was a kid, I wondered what an "i-sing" was, since it was preceded by "the." I couldn't sing well, either.

Young people in America have stopped using language correctly. They rarely use "thee." They say "thy" when they actually mean "thou." What's ye olde world coming to?
