Hi, nobody will laugh at this!  You know, even some of the players who tell everyone they are really good (not all of them, at least...) would not necessarly play these with perfect lovly sound and control...  Someone on this site told once, the easiest pieces are often the most tricky.  They seem so simple yet try to play them well, really well.   It is the same with the big concertos.  Beethoven and Mozart concertos are quite empty scores compared with many other big virtuosic concertos yet, for many soloists, it is the or certainly in the trickirest and meanest things to make play.

So, be proud of what you can do!   (I know we always want more... but it is terrible for the technique to go too fast.  One must digest before eating again because otherwise, one will get fat and kind of unhealthy!!!)

Good luck!

Anne-Marie

Thank you so much for that!   What you said just gave me a whole new positive outlook on my playing!

AHHH!!! I was so glad to see Seitz on your list! I always revisit his concertos time to time because they're all very exciting in the fast parts but also beautiful in the slow parts. It never gets old. Keep the Seitz handy for some performances. :)
