Joshua Bell

January 31, 2007 06:53

Well, my son Christopher and I went to see Joshua Bell last night at the Jorgenson........

Oh my !!!!!

I guess there isn't a whole lot I can comment on ..untrained hack that I am....I know next to nothing about concertos, music theory...phrasing etc etc.... I just never knew anyone could get such amazing sounds out of a couple pieces of wood and horse hair !! Oh my gosh....it must be Wonderful to be able to play that well.....if I could it would be ALL I would ever want to do....

Sydney, you're right about that 4th movement in his new piece.......incredible ! We missed out on the Shubert piece..they switched that one out last minute. Tarantella was simply Amazing !

We did meet him at the end of the performance, very nice fella...I didn't get a chance to ask him about the Opra Winfrey thing....haha...too many folks hanging around waiting for autorgraphs. My son did get his pic with him though..he was pretty excited about that. I insanely forgot to bring my camera, but a friend of mine was in line ahead of us and took his pic for us. I did remember to speak to Jeremy...haha...I made a point of it in fact because Josh was getting all the attention..thanked them both for a fantastic evening.

Natalie McMasters is coming here soon, next month I think. I've never heard or seen her play either but some of the folks I play with say she's incredible...dances while she plays....Haha...That I have to see !......
