Paul Grant

Filipino American Symphony Orchestra...

May 28, 2009 03:13

A few weeks ago I got to play with the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra and came across this video. There was a wide range of ability in the group but a strong passion and enthusiasm  for music was evident among the players. From my understanding the orchestra is comprised of mostly Filipinos in the orchestra...the first of its kind in the United States. In this particular video we play Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty." I've loved this song ever since I saw it first performed with the Disney Young Musician's Symphony Orchestra.

Are you able to spot me?

Here's a hint on finding me...scroll to the 2 minute mark. It's kind of hard to miss my shiny head and yellow violin!

Enjoy!
