![]() March 5, 2007 at 6:58 PMWell, I haven't updated this for a while. For a while now I have had a little pain in my wrists. I discussed with my teacher last semester and she gave me some exercises to do before I practice. Well, for a while it was better but now, there is pain my hand. The pain is pretty much always there. It really starts to hurt after I've been playing violin for a while. The last few days my hand has actually started to spasm when it's at rest. I can just be sitting and all of sudden it starts to move a little. The bulk of the pain is mostly on the middle of back of my hand and will spread to my figers the more I practice/play. Sometimes it feels like an achey pain and sometimes it's more like a burning pain. It's not paralyzing and I can still play violin...I just have to be carefull and resist using vibrato. Just so you know, problems with my wrist/hand are not new, they're just more severe and more worthy of attention now. From LisaJo Borchers
First-- check your condition out with an MD.Posted on March 6, 2007 at 2:23 PM "The pain is pretty much always there." I definetly know that feeling. I also try to make sure that my hands do not get cold. I'm sure you'll find something to help you cope. We all have to travel this path - every profession has it's aches and pains. bon chance This entry has been archived and is no longer accepting comments. |
